When Homemaking Gets In The Way Of Mothering

I totally forgot to post this yesterday, but I was over at Passionate Homemaking writing as usual, about Focusing On The Essentials. Please visit! It’s my most commented post ever!

I’m also declaring an early weekend for this blog, so until next Monday….

May You Be Nourished Well and Whole!

  1. I read your guest post — awesome! But I’m commenting here because you already have tons of comments there!

I just wanted to say that I appreciate your reasonable, down-to-earth approach. We have so much pressure to do it all, and we need to remind ourselves that we just can’t. Sometimes we have to give up some things we love to give enough energy to other things, and we don’t need to beat ourselves up about it. Great work!

  2. I agree with Kathleen! Obviously, from most of your comments, many moms need to hear this!

  3. I really truly loved your guest post and all the other posts on this blog as well.. Sometimes, we just need to take a deep breath and remind ourselves to take a break, reenergize and refresh ourselves rather than go all crazy trying to be supermom/wife and woman:-)
Thanks for being so practical and real.

  4. Great post! Not everyone needs to bake bread. I like to think about The Donna Reed show – Those were the days when Homemakers would buy fresh bread from the local baker!
