I love the New Moon. I now anticipate my monthly flow, expectant of the subtle shifts I need to make space for in my life. I wrote on my other blog how it’s sort of like starting over every month, a blank new page waiting for a new chapter. And so today, I share some inspiration I found over the weekend that I want to weave into our home life for this next week or so.
As you can see, most of my life at home revolves around food, and because, well, we have to eat 3 times a day and more. And this year is about (In) Joyment with what we have. So as much as I try to be healthy, I want the food we eat to be the kind we look forward to eating because it tastes delicious. Because what’s the point otherwise, right ?
So here we go. Oh, and I included some inspiring arts and crafts that I might actually do with my little one because I really want to. This really is the key to being happy anytime anywhere: Know what you really want, do it and be thankful for the rest.

What about you? What are you crafting this week or so?

Yes! I love all of your ideas. And i love that you have a Filipino night. My question is- can you post a vegetarian filipino dish sometime? I would love to find out more about filipino food, but the only dish I know and love is chicken adobo which Ezrah won’t eat! BTW, he doesn’t eat eggs either….. (unless they are baked into something)
Mmmm! Thanks for the (mostly) veggie posts! They look tasty
I grew up frequently going to my cousins’ grandmother’s home. Their father’s side is filipino and their grandmother is this adorable little elder who cooks The Best Filipino food. I might suggest as a vegetarian to Christa to take the classic dishes and replace the typical meat with a veggie substitute or another vegetable. I too would love to hear any suggestions that the blog author has as well!
You love Adobo, huh? Me too. But oh, there are so many other dishes out there I want to learn too. Lots of the veggies we use though are not widely available here. I miss those veggies. I’ll try to come up with something!:)
Oh I want a grandma to cook for me too! Keep posted for a veggie dish soon!
